Eduardo Del Valle and Mirta Gomez exhibited their photograph 'Miami Beach, Florida' (1977) as part of an exhibition that included forty-five photographs by sixteen artists, all of whom received a CAPS Fellowship for 1979-1980. The grants and the exhibition were made possible by the Creative Artists Public Service Program. The sixteen photographers were selected from 999 applicants. Each Fellowship carried a $3500 stipend. The works exhibited embraced a wide range of styles and approaches.

*Eduardo del Valle has worked in a coactive collaboration in the field of photography with his wife and colleague Mirta Gomez since 1973. He received his MFA from, Brooklyn College, SUNY in 1981; BFA from Florida International University in 1976 and; AA from Miami-Dade Community College in 1974. He is the recipient of numerous individual artists fellowships including the National Endowment for the Arts (1976 &, 1990); New York State Council for the Arts (1979); Florida Arts Council (1987); Oscar B. Cintas Foundation (1989 & 1996); South Florida Cultural Consortium (1993) and the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation (1997).

His work is widely exhibited in the U.S.A. and abroad and is included in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art, NY; New Orleans Museum of Art, LA; Brooklyn Museum of Art, NY; California Museum of Photography, Riverside and the Bibliotheque Nationale de France, Paris. He joined the Visual Arts Department at Florida International University in 1983.
