This work is from an ongoing exploration of abstracted environmental portraits that use color, shape, depth and composition to invite the viewer into solitary transitional spaces. Unlike using depth of field, focus and framing these images are created by using frosted acrylic for distortion. This image was selected as part of a group portfolio of members in the Society for Photographic Education's Multicultural Caucus Portfolio in 2010.
