Jeffrey Hoone

Jeffrey Hoone is an artist, the executive director of Light Work, and the executive director of the Coalition of Museum and Art Centers (CMAC) at Syracuse University. He has been in a directorship position at Light Work since 1980 and guided the organization through a long period of growth and expansion in achieving their goal of supporting emerging and under recognized artists working in photography and related media. Over 400 artists have participated in Light Work’s international Artist-in-Residence program, and its photography journal Contact Sheet is one of the longest running photography publications in the world. During his time at Light Work he has curated over one hundred exhibitions and worked on over 190 publications.
