Jeff Koch is an idependent photographer trekking the Utica, NY area with his 8 x 10 camera. He was awarded a Light Work Photographer's Grant in 1988.
The 8 x 10 inch contact prints in Koch's portfolio are mystical in their understatement of ordinary corner lots and warehouses photographed in the dead of night. The cold tone he employs in the albumen prints intensify the starkness of waste and decay. Koch is interested in alternative processes, including albumen printing on Strathmore paper.
