Michael Spano, a photographer from New York City, spent a month at LW/CD in 1980 making pictures on the street with a Widelux panoramic camera.
Showing little regard for the horizon line, the traditional hallmark of panoramic views. Spano prefers to work close-up, photographing characters in their home on the streets. The resulting images hold their own mercenary quality and direct approach that makes them unique and distinctive.
