In 1980 the Syracuse, NY community sponsored a 'Women in the Arts Festival'.
An exhibition entitled, 'Women at Light Work/Community Darkrooms 1973-80' was shown in conjunction with that event. The selection of photographs included the work of 22 women who have participated in LW/CD programs, including artists-in-residence, exhibitors, workshop leaders, staff or darkroom members.
Juliana Swatko was an instructor of Alternative Imaging Processes and Bookmaking at Light Work/Community Darkrooms.
