In 1979 Henry Baker taught a Haloid Xerox Workshop at Community Darkrooms, demonstrating how to use the Haloid Xerox machine for color and black and white picture making. Henry Baker was born in Greenwich, Connecticut in 1952. He is a graduate of Syracuse University receiving a BFA in Media Communications and an MFA in Synaesthetic Education. In 1983 he began working as staff artist at a top New York video production house, where he began to combine drawing with video and produced all the artwork for the Emmy award winning Saturday Night Live Opening. He is also the recipient of numerous design awards for his creative work in television. His technique in oils and acrylics strives to include photography and Xerox with the painting, Mr. Baker began to produce the series entitled 'Unwritten Fairy Tales,' in 1993. He draws upon his television experience and from the artists: Miles Davis, The Brother's Grimm, Gilbert & George and others. He currently resides in New York City.
