Biography
George Blakely is a professor of Art at Florida State University and holds an M.F.A. degree from Tyler School of Art and an M.A. from California State University at Fullerton. He has exhibited widely, including the Friends of Photography, San Francisco; High Museum, Atlanta, GA; and the Tampa Museum of Art. He has received a National Endowment for the Arts Grant and a Florida Arts Council Individual Artist Grant.
His most recent work consists of appropriated images fabricated into sculptural forms and installations.
