In his photographs, Thomas Brown of Norwich, NY, describes the lyrical quality of life in Upstate New York. He applies the traditional hand-held method of street photography, usually associated with urban areas, towards the rural experience of picnics, fairs, and just plain fence sitting.
Brown is currently staff photographer and Marketing Director for Automecha in Oxford, NY. He received his MFA in photography from Yale University and received honorable mention for photographs accepted in the Cortland Arts Council Central New York Exhibition in 1986. His work was also exhibited in the Central Park Biennial in New York City.
