American Anatomy:

Dexter Holmes

Dexter Foster is Alice’s third child. He’s been effeminate since he was a toddler.

Dexter and Pam are in the same profession. To augment his income he helps himself to things occasionally. He’s been known to get end tables out of Bloomingdale’s in his genuine Vuitton satchel (which was also relieved from some queen that passed out on him one night).

Essays

American Anatomy is the label I’ve given to the compilation of characters I developed for my work. A few of these personas are created from whole cloth but most (unlike the disclaimer that prefaces a lot of works of fiction) are people I know or know of. They’ve become my palette either as altered dolls or in the form of toy representations of their accoutrement.

Basically the title of this series and the term “social commentary” are interchangeable. What makes this work specifically “American Anatomy” is my very particular take on the characters and situations I place them in.
