 The lush natural beauty and the warmth of the citizens of this small Caribbean island nation camouflage a larger reality. This body of images, "Island in the Sun" seeks to documents the vestiges of European colonial legacy and the encroaching influence of economic globalization and their impact on the culture of this place. Both of these influences bracket the 1983 political independence of this young emerging nation and affect its ability to retain its culture amidst the challenges of present day circumstances.
